From a young age I was fortunate to be I trained in the Indian Classical disciplines, Kathak and Bharatnatyam under the direction of Mamta Sharma, Alpana Sengupta and Jayshree Panniker. Bollywood and Bhangra styles of dance are a favourite of mine too. I particularly enjoy choreography and incorporating my own individual style of dance into a routine. Having a Gujarati heritage I enjoy Raas and Garba which are regional folk dances of Gujarat. 

I am a great fan of the music of Mr A R Rahman who is the music composer of the song Jai Ho from the film Slum Dog Millionaire. I admire his fusion of Indian classical and modern  music. While growing up I have been greatly inspired by the choreography of Saroj Khan (Song: Mere Hatho Me, Film  Chandni) and more recently Farah Khan (Song: Ghagra, Film Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani)  and Vaibhavi Merchant (Song and Film Aaja Nachle). The songs also feature my favourite dancers from Bollywood films the graceful Sri Devi and Madhuri Dixit. I am also a great fan of the choreographer Mr Ganesh Acharya for his slightly cheeky Old School Bollywood choreography in the "Govinda" films and recently in the film Ram Leela (Song: Tattad Tattad, Film Ram Leela)
